The Bodies Exhibit Pittsburgh

Harper and Parliament.

Stephen Harper is a dangerous man , particularly because his style of government is largely in the rigidity. The axis of the stiffness is independent of the political left-right axis, it would be a "vertical axis"

This axis refers to the ways of exercising power and reports that the partisan favor between State and civil society. The position of the stiffness on this axis is determined as follows:
- The party is ready to use violence to suppress dissent, to seek to discredit its opponents rather than (the flexibility) calmly discuss issues where opposing views that clash. ..
- The power will be concentrated within a small group and will be centralized without independent counterweights.
- Civil society will be increasingly dependent on the state, or worse, in the extreme rigidity, it will no longer exist. Only the state will occupy the whole stage, individuals act alone against the state without free associations that can defend them and inform them that they can exercise their freedoms.

But if you read a little about the issue these days, all lights are flashing in regards reports that Stephen Harper has with Parliament: the central power of our political system, the place par excellence surveillance and control of government, the holder of the "sovereignty" and the place of emanation of the popular will. Stephen Harper despise this institution, it ceases to work when a vote of confidence may bring it down (!) And he lies shamelessly to MPs and parliamentary committees that the questioning and he information cache, He forges documents; punishes individuals and organizations who do not like him, etc.. What do you want more?

That speaks more of his reactionary ideology, his vision of human life creationist, willingness to transform the culture in Canada?

Chantal Hébert a paper published today in the Toronto Star says the current crisis (the Harper government is accused of contempt of Parliament because the Minister Bev Oda has forged a document and lied before parliamentary committees) is a better argument to make a motion of no confidence and election Harper government is a threat to our democratic system because it operates a work of undermining and weakening the various cons-existing power in a parliamentary system.
